London Old Marylebone Town Hall ceremony followed by Intimate Dinner Reception at The Pelican Notting Hill

Charlotte and Sam’s day began at London's timeless Old Marylebone Town Hall. This iconic venue, known for its stunning architecture and rich history served as the perfect backdrop for Charlotte and Sam's vows. The couple, surrounded by a close-knit group of family and friends, exchanged their promises to each other in a ceremony that was intimate and truly celebrated the love that had blossomed and matured between the two over the last decade.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to The Pelican in Notting Hill via the Underground. Charlotte and Sam, self-proclaimed foodies, wanted their wedding day to be a relaxed affair, prioritising great food, good wine, and the company of their nearest and dearest. The Pelican, with its warm ambiance and reputation for exquisite cuisine, was the ideal location for such a gathering. The dinner was an intimate affair, with guests dining on sharing style food and surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight. What made Charlotte and Sam's wedding truly special was the personal touches they incorporated throughout the day. From the selection of the venue, to the menu and the choice of music, to Charlotte’s mum creating mini jars of her famous honey for the wedding favours - every element was a reflection of their journey, their personalities, and their shared lives together.

Once dinner celebrations were finished, Charlotte and Sam and their guests then moved on to The Prince Bonaparte where more friends met them for additional celebrations. Opting for standing speeches and a sharing style buffet of food, the atmosphere created was one that was relaxed and focused on joyful celebrations.

The day was a gathering of loved ones, marked by good food, great wine, and the unmistakable feeling of love that was felt for the couple. The couple's relaxed approach to the day, focusing on the joy of the moment and the company of loved ones, rather than adhering strictly to tradition or convention, made the celebration feel all the more genuine and heartfelt. By choosing to celebrate in a way that was true to themselves, they created a day that was not only memorable but also deeply meaningful to them. As they look back on their wedding in the years to come, Charlotte and Sam will remember it as a day when everything was just right, a perfect reflection of their life together.

Intimate Wedding at The Forge and Artists Residence in Bristol

“I CANNOT EVEN TALK TO YOU ABOUT THESE PHOTOS MATE. THE AMOUNT OF JOY YOU HAVE BROUGHT. THE SMILES, THE LAUGHS, MEMORIES, ABSOLUTE JOKES ABOUT THE SMELLING HAIR PICTURES. YOU ARE A JOY AND A WONDERFUL PERSON AT WHAT YOU DO. OUR PICTURES ARE SUCH A GIFT AND WILL BE WITH US FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES SO THANK YOU.”

Laura & Matt

Third time really was the charm for L&M who finally got hitched on the 4th March this year after having to postpone their larger planned celebrations not once but twice when Covid hit. Failed plans, not wanting to deal with the stress of rearranging a larger affair, a big house move and welcoming their beautiful little boy in the years gone by, the pair decided they wanted to opt for a smaller celebration this time around with just their close friends and family. Both Laura and Matt got ready at the super cool Artist’s Residence which was just short walking distance to the Bristol Registry Office where the pair finally made things official. After another short walk to the The Forge, friends and family gathered for an intimate dinner and speeches.

It’s pretty hard for me to put into words just how fun it was to capture Laura and Matt’s day. I often joke about how I’m really lucky with my couples and when I finally get to meet them on the day, it’s just like capturing on old friends wedding but honestly - it felt like I’d known these two my whole life and their entourage made me (and my photographer friend Hana who came to support me as this was the first wedding of the year for me following Surgery) feel so welcomed and like we were among familiar faces (even though they didn’t know us and we were just two random ladies walking around with cameras strapped to our hips) but you get the point. Some of my favourite moments of the day were watching Laura’s friends celebrating with her that she fitted into her pre Covid wedding dress purchase, her Mum and Dad both helping her with the final touches and hers and Matt’s friends Joseph and Tom serenading them down the aisle with their guitars. As always, thir was pure joy during their confetti tunnel (just look at those happy faces) and giggles galore during their portraits. Thank you again to Laura and Matt for having me along and I’m so happy their love their gallery.

Chic Puff Sleeve Dress Wedding at 'The Mount Without'

“INCREDIBLE, INCREDIBLE WORK AS ALWAYS MATE. WE ARE SO SO SO HAPPY WITH HOW THE PHOTOS LOOK AND WE’RE SO CHUFFED THAT WE GET TO HAVE THESE FOREVER. YOU ARE BRILLIANT AND WE’LL BE RECOMMENDING YOU TO ALL OUR FRIENDS THAT ARE GETTING MARRIED. WE’LL OF COURSE LEAVE YOU A GLOWING REVIEW, JUST NEED TO TRY AND PUT TOGETHER THE WORDS THAT’LL DO JUSTICE”

Tom & Liz

It’s no lie that The Mount Without in Bristol is my favourite venue to exist - period. The beautiful architecture, the exposed textures fighting with each other but also working together in perfect harmony, the fact it’s a blank canvas but also already has so much going on that it doesn’t need to be over styled, the incredible team that work there and treat you like family and the fact it’s in my home town and literally like a 15 min drive from my house?! I could go on! So when Tom and Liz got in touch for me to capture their day there, it was a no brainer.

T&L decided to use local Bristol suppliers for their day and I hope you’ll agree that the results are simply breath-taking. From Liz’s puff sleeve open back dress to the styled to perfection cake table by local (vegan) legends Ahh Toots (seriously if you’ve not yet managed to visit their Christmas Steps shop, go now! Speaking of vegan, the amazing Queen and Whippet put on a beautiful 3 course dinner for T&L and their guests including the most amazing sticky toffee pudding I’ve had in my LIFE. But, without going on too much - I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I’m so honoured to have now captured two beautiful weddings at this venue and the fact I get to shoot another 10 weddings over the next two years there?! Dreaaaaaamy. If you’re thinking of getting hitched at The Mount Without do drop me a message and we can discuss my availability and your impeccable taste.

Epic Confetti and Depot N7 Wedding Reception in London

“HONESTLY THE SMARTEST DECISION YOU COULD MAKE WITH YOUR WEDDING WOULD BE TO BOOK CHLOE. OR FOR YOUR PARTY. OR EVEN JUST A SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE PUB. THE QUALITY OF HER PHOTOS ARE EXCEPTIONAL!”

”For two people who are pretty camera shy and awkward at the best of times, she was able to capture the most amazing moments with none of the photos ever feeling forced. Throughout the whole process she took the time to get to know us and listened to what we thought we might want, providing amazing suggestions and recommendations which really went above and beyond – even capturing an amazing Insta video for us in the midst of travelling on the bus. And the results….well those are just incredible!! We absolutely love the photos! They’re better than we could have ever imagined, even managing to make us look somewhat like we might know what we were doing. Chloe was so relaxed throughout the day which was an amazing help with everything going on, and it really felt like having someone who’s known you for ages along for the ride with you, sharing in your excitement, your weirdness, and the limbo that somehow starts on the dancefloor.

Chloe thank you so much!”

Acre Baja Resort Destination Wedding in San Jose Del Cabo

When Peter and Elida’s enquiry landed in my inbox, I thought someone was playing a prank on me - honestly. The first words I saw were ‘Cocaine Chic’ and ‘vibes of the Met Gala after party’ then the words .. Mexico. As a humble little photographer living in Bristol, I was flabbergasted someone wanted to speak with me about capturing their epic sounding wedding in San Jose Del Cabo. Peter and Elida not only chose to have their wedding in the stunning city of San Jose Del Cabo, but they chose the lush sanctuary of Acre Resort to host their big day. Tucked away in the foothills of San Jose Del Cabo, Acre Resort is 25 acres of pure green jungle feeling vibes with scattered elegant treehouses, organic farms, an animal rescue sanctuary (yes you read that correctly) and private event spaces (as well as an award winning bar and restaurant - and oh my goddddd the cheese scones are to DIE for) Acre is available to host celebrations of all sizes, including ones just like Peter and Elida who opt’d for an intimate ‘dinner party’ vibe for their nearest and dearest to celebrate with them. With incredible styling dreamed up by the bride and groom, About Love Events helped her to make their dreams become a reality.

THE LOOK

Something to know about Peter and Elida is that they’re actually from Minneapolis and something the Americans like to do that we Brits don’t do, is rehearsal dinners. This gave Elida chance to showcase not just one insanely stylish wedding look but two equally stylish outfits. With the help of The White Room, Elida wore a beautiful top and pants look by the designer, Andres Otalora. Paired with a simple pearl style hair slide and some pearlesque earrings, this outfit makes it hard for me to pick a favourite wedding look if I’m honest! And speaking of favourite looks, Peter looked every bit as stylish as Elida in his Suit Supply tuxedo and Gucci sliders. I love nothing more than when grooms add a little ‘spice’ to their outfits and wear something that really represents them. So when Peter also told me he was going to wear a silk tie Bolo I lost my shit.

But the dress, we must talk about the dress - Elida’s beautiful silk slip style ALAROBE dress paired with the Pronovias silk jacket stole the show. One of my favourite things about Elida is that throughout the lead up to her big day, we had a few discussions about her doing her own hair and makeup and I have to be honest, I was her number one motivator behind this decision and I really do think she made the right choice. She opted for a subtle look but still wanted to pay homage to a look she regularly rocks and speaking of DIY, she actually opted to do quite a few things herself and I couldn’t have agreed more in her decisions throughout planning. Another thing I loved about the dress is by opting for a jacket as her statement piece, it actually gave Elida the chance to mix things up for her evening reception without having to change dress and boy, did she justtttttttt do that. Choosing this ostrich feather sequin jacket by Varca Bridal, Elida looked every bit ready for the their after party vibes held deep in the Acre’s Blue Room Lounge.

There’s honestly so much more I’d love to talk about in regards to not only Peter and Elida’s day, but Peter and Elida themselves - down to the fact that Peter pretty much arranged the whole wedding by himself and the fact that the first day I met them in Mexico felt just like I was meeting old friends. These two have become dear friends of mine and I can’t wait until I get to be reunited with them one day soon. I also adore the fact that they were such a dream team when it came to wedding planning, that they’ve opened their own business to help other couples achieve the look they want for their big days. Talk about couple goals. Peter and Elida’s day will always hold a place in my heart as my first destination wedding of my career and thanks to them, they’ve opened the flood gates for more destination weddings in my diary. So if you’re thinking of holding your very own jungle ‘cocaine chic’ wedding or any sort of destination wedding, I’d love to hear from you!

The Mount Without | Alternative and Luxury Wedding Venue set in the heart of Bristol

Rach and Joss were one of the first couples to get hitched at the incredible ‘The Mount Without’ in Bristol back in July 2021. The Mount Without is a luxury and alternative wedding venue set in the heart of Bristol - and one of the most breath-taking and incredible venues in the UK. After being partially destroyed in a fire back in 2016 (with a rich history) it was purchased in 2019 to be restored and used as an events space and Bristol’s newest wedding venue. Being the first wedding photographer to shoot at this incredibly beautiful venue was such an honour and I am forever grateful for Rach and Joss for choosing me to capture their day. I’m also delighted to say I am also on The Mount Without recommended supplier list as a local Bristol Wedding Photographer.

I can’t wait to be back at The Mount Without later this year as it’s truly become a firm favourite of mine. Not only because it’s in my home town of Bristol, but because it shows how something so normally ‘traditional’ can be so wonderfully alternative at the same time. Not to mention they have the friendliest team working behind the scene’s (Michelle runs such a tight knit team here and you’re sure to be looked after) and the tastiest, most relaxed food atmosphere I think I’ve ever seen at a wedding - it’s honestly just such a dream venue and if you’re considering getting married in Bristol, one you should be looking at for sure. Speaking of, if you’re looking to host your wedding at The Mount Without and are looking for an authentic and modern story telling photographer, do drop me a message and I’d be delighted to talk through your plans with you.

THE LOOK

Rach opt’d for modern elegance in her Half Penny London Cheryl dress paired with the floaty Campange cape, purchased through the independent dress boutique - Waxflower Bridal. With accessories from Blue meadow and her fresh floral crown made by local florist Petal Emporium, the look was finished by her hair and makeup team, the incredibly talented Rose Forrest and Emily Williams. Rach’s look was not only classic, paired back modern bride but managed to showcase how you can add alternative elements to a more ‘traditional’ base to make your chosen look perfectly your own. I’m not sure if it’s how the whole look comes together as a whole or if it’s Rach’s joyful smile, but this was one of my favourite looks of 2021 for sure.

Stylish and Intimate Zetter Townhouse London Wedding

Back in February 2020 was when Rich and Emma originally contacted me and their wedding plans looked a little different before the world fell into a pit and life as we knew it changed. Things happened and plans changed (not too far from the original vision of a Church wedding but far from a college school hall reception) and a cheeky little email popped up in my inbox late Sept 2021 asking if I was still free to capture their celebration that October. I think fate worked it’s magic as it happened to be only one of two weekend dates I still had free for that month So we got chatting again, confirmed the details and the rest as they say - is history. As mentioned earlier, their plans did change a little and it meant we were now working with a slightly more ‘London’ esque day and you all know I’m a sucker for a London wedding, there’s just something about the cosmopolitan chaos that calls to my heart - the endless backdrops, the random passer-by’s congratulating the couple on their nuptials - it feels like home to me and yet it’s a far cry from the London culture we’ve all adapted to.

THE LOOK

I honestly loved everything about Emma and Rich’s day. It had such a paired back, relaxed yet super stylish and chic look to it all. Emma looked incredddddddible in her Charlie Brear silk dress (she did have a second dress but we all agreed this one suited her to a tee so she decided to rock it all day) perfectly paired with a soft ‘undone’ curl and makeup she did herself which seems to be a trend I’m really noticing more and more since covid happened and I’m here for it. What’s not to love about being able to top up whenever you need to?! The whole day just had this indescribable vibe about it and you could really tell how happy everyone was that they got to celebrate with Rich and Emma. They may have exchanged their vows earlier that year but this blessing and celebration was utterly perfect and I couldn’t be happier they thought of me to capture it for them after the original plans didn’t go ahead.

In the words of Emma and Rich - “We just wanted to say such a huge thank you for our beautiful photos. We love them so much. They so brilliantly capture our whole day and we particularly have loved seeing all the photos you took of our guests - it meant that we got to see all of the things we didn’t see which has been such a gift. These are our favourites!”
